I have been around dogs all my life. As a child I was bitten in the face by an un-vaccinated dog and had to take a series of rabies shots. I think this would cause fear in most children after being bitten and treated, but I think it just made me curious, and careful. "Why was I bitten"?
When I was in high school, I worked part time at a local Ft. Worth animal hospital for three years. As an avid outdoors man dogs have always camped, fished, hunted, boated, and canoed with me. Then in 1993 I decided to become a full-time professional dog trainer.
I have worked for several dog kennels and training facilities around the state. I have trained over 2000 dogs. From basic obedience, AKC obedience, canine good citizen, therapy dogs, guard dogs, de-miner (explosives detection), police K9, and "French Ring sport".
I have trained most of the recognized breeds. Dog training is mostly dependant on what the owner wants, needs, and the commitment to training.
